Detailed description

About Yume

Yume is a social Discord community made for people who want somewhere active, relaxed and easy to settle into. The server is focused on conversation, friendships, events and giving members actual things to take part in rather than being another server where everyone joins and never speaks.

Members can join community events, competitions, polls, QOTDs and different activities organised by the staff and event team. There are also dedicated spaces for general conversation, art, gaming, suggestions, support and other interests. Yume is designed to work for both active members who want to get involved in everything and quieter members who mainly want somewhere comfortable to talk.

A large part of Yume is powered by our own bots. They provide a complete economy, gambling games, quests, profiles, rewards, support tools, tickets, check-ins and moderation systems. These features are connected to the server rather than being random commands added for the sake of it.

Yume Economy

The Yume economy is operated by Yume Fun. It is a persistent economy system, meaning balances, inventories, cooldowns, quests, earnings, spending and transaction history are saved instead of resetting whenever the bot restarts.

New members begin with 500 tokens, and their economy account becomes active after they use /work for the first time. From there, they can earn tokens, complete quests, unlock achievements, collect items and compete for a position on the economy leaderboard.

Earning Tokens

Members have several ways to earn money:

  • /work can be used once every hour and gives between 250 and 500 tokens. Each use also has a 1% chance of awarding a Casino Key.

  • /dailyreward gives 2,500 tokens every 24 hours, with a 5% chance of receiving a Casino Key.

  • /crime has a 60% success chance. A successful crime earns between 400 and 1,000 tokens, while failure removes between 150 and 500 tokens.

  • /steal [user] allows members to attempt to steal from another person every three hours. It has a 10% success chance, and a successful attempt steals 25% of the target’s balance. If it fails, the person attempting the theft pays the target 5% of their own balance. Bots and the server owner cannot be targeted.

  • Daily quests, achievements, crates and server events can provide additional rewards.

The different earning methods include both safe and risky options. Members can rely on work and daily rewards, or take bigger risks through crime, stealing and gambling.

Gambling

Tokens can be used across several gambling games:

  • Blackjack

  • Higher or Lower

  • Coinflip

  • Roulette

Coinflip has a maximum bet of 15,000 tokens, while blackjack and higher or lower allow bets of up to 25,000 tokens. Coinflip pays a 1.5× return when the chosen side wins and has an hourly cooldown.

The gambling system is connected directly to each member’s balance and transaction history. Wins, losses and bets are saved, allowing members to build their balance over time or lose their position through risky decisions.

Leaderboards and Rankings

/balance [user] displays a member’s current balance and economy ranking. Members can use /econ leaderboard to view the richest people in the server, although the server owner is excluded to keep the competition fair.

The richest eligible member automatically receives the High Roller role. This role moves between members whenever somebody else takes first place, so it represents the current economy leader rather than being permanently assigned.

The leaderboard gives members a reason to keep earning, complete quests and compete with others instead of the economy being limited to collecting tokens with no purpose.

Quests

/quests opens a private quest board for each member. Quest progress is saved and updates as the member completes the required actions.

Quests reset every day at midnight London time and can involve different parts of the server, such as:

  • Using economy commands

  • Winning or playing gambling games

  • Earning a certain number of tokens

  • Taking part in the daily QOTD

  • Joining community activities

  • Completing event-related objectives

Because the quest board is private, each member can check their own progress without filling public channels with command responses. Completed quests provide extra rewards and give members smaller daily goals alongside the main leaderboard.

Inventories, Items and Casino Keys

Members can use /econ inventory to view their owned items, active perks and current cooldowns. Items and rewards remain saved to their account.

Casino Keys can be earned through /work, /dailyreward and other reward systems. They can be used with the crate system, where members have the chance to receive different outcomes, including additional rewards, another Casino Key or part of their money back.

The inventory system also allows the economy to include limited items, temporary perks, collectible rewards and prizes from events. This means members can collect more than just tokens.

Achievements and Profiles

The economy includes achievements for reaching milestones and completing different challenges. These can be connected to earnings, gambling wins, balance milestones, quests, command usage and other parts of the server.

Member profiles bring this information together by showing progress, statistics, rewards and economy details. Profiles give members a visible record of what they have completed rather than reducing everything to a single balance number.

Pusheen

Pusheen is Yume’s server cat and also has her own place in the economy. Every 24 hours, she can take 30% of a member’s money for cat food until they are left with 10,000 tokens. She will not reduce someone below that amount.

It acts as a recurring economy mechanic while also matching the server’s mascot and personality.

Yume Util

Yume Util operates the server’s main utility and support systems. While Yume Fun focuses on the economy and games, Yume Util handles features that help members communicate with staff, access support and use the server more easily.

Tickets and Private Reports

Members can open private tickets when they need to contact the staff team. Tickets can be used for:

  • Reporting another member

  • Asking a question

  • Raising a private concern

  • Requesting help

  • Discussing something that should not be posted publicly

Only the relevant member and authorised staff can view the ticket. This gives people a proper route to speak to staff without needing to send random direct messages or explain personal matters in a public channel.

Confidential reports are handled separately from normal chat, helping staff keep information organised and respond to situations properly.

Check-In System

Yume Util includes a private /checkin system for members who need somewhere to organise their thoughts or talk through how they are feeling.

The check-in system can provide labelled Yume AI responses that respond to what the member has shared, remember recent context during the check-in and offer appropriate grounding or calming activities. It can also help break down overwhelming thoughts, suggest a reasonable next step and check back on the member later.

Each member can receive up to 20 Yume AI responses per day. Temporary conversation context expires after 24 hours, and normal check-in tools remain available after the AI response limit has been reached.

The check-in system is not presented as therapy or an emergency service. It is a private support feature intended to give members a calmer place to pause, organise their thoughts and find an appropriate way forward.

Server Utility Features

Yume Util also supports the general operation of the server through systems such as:

  • Private support tools

  • Member reports

  • Ticket management

  • Check-in tools

  • Community polls

  • Role and access systems

  • Server information

  • Staff contact options

  • Interactive member features

These systems reduce the amount of manual work needed from staff while making important features easier for members to access.

Moderation

Yume Mod supports the staff team by handling moderation tools, records and server logs. It helps staff manage warnings, timeouts, reports and other actions needed to keep the community organised.

The moderation system is kept separate from the economy and support systems. Yume Fun handles entertainment and progression, Yume Util handles member tools and support, and Yume Mod handles staff moderation.

Together, these systems give Yume its own identity. Members can talk and make friends, but they can also build an economy profile, compete on leaderboards, complete quests, collect rewards, join events and access private support whenever they need it.
